Frequently asked questions
What should I wear to the training? Comfortable, relaxed clothing is recommended. As Reiki sessions may involve sitting or lying down, ease of movement and warmth are ideal.
Do I need to bring anything with me? There is no need to bring any materials. A notebook and pen will be prepared for you. To take home the Reiki music used during the training, please bring a USB stick with at least 1GB of space.
Is lunch provided? Lunch is not served during the course, as it’s best to avoid feeling too full while working with energy. Instead, a short midday break is taken, during which light refreshments—such as biscuits, fruit, and herbal tea—are offered. Most participants choose to enjoy lunch after the training finishes.
Are there any dietary restrictions during or after the training? No specific restrictions apply. However, it is recommended to drink plenty of water during the training and in the days following, as Reiki can encourage energetic shifts in the body.
What time does the training start and finish? Weekend courses run from 10:00 to 16:00 on both days. Weekday training is also available and typically runs from 9:30 to around 15:00, in alignment with the school run.
Can I request different dates or a private session? Yes. If the suggested training dates are not convenient, or if private or weekday training is preferred, alternative dates can be arranged at no additional cost. All that’s needed is two consecutive free days.
Is Reiki training suitable for complete beginners? Absolutely. Reiki 1st Degree is designed for those with no prior experience. Each step is introduced gently in a calm and supportive setting.
Can I repeat a level I’ve already taken? Yes. Refresher classes are available for 1st and 2nd Degree students at a reduced rate. These sessions are ideal for reconnecting with the energy, clarifying techniques, and preparing for advanced levels.
Is accommodation available nearby? If travelling from outside Chester, recommendations for local accommodation can be provided upon request.
